Who we are

CiscoTools.dev and the tools described on it are operated by Brody Networks LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company ("we", "us"). By using this site you agree to these terms.

The free tools

All eleven tools are free to use as-is, with no account required except where noted on that tool's own page. We may change, add to, rate-limit, or retire a free tool at any time.

Verify before you deploy

This is the important one. Every diff, translated config, sanitized config, compliance verdict, subnet plan, generated script, BGP walkthrough, and interface-cleanup call this site produces is a starting point, not a guarantee. These tools do not connect to your devices and cannot see your actual network, so a qualified engineer must review and verify anything generated here before it is used on production equipment. Treat every output, including a Compliance Checker score, a suggested remediation command, or an Interface Cleanup Auditor's "safe to reclaim" call, as something to check against your own environment, not something to paste into a device blind.

Pro subscription: billing, cancellation, refunds

Pro is a monthly subscription, $9 per month, billed through Stripe in advance and renewing automatically until cancelled. See the Pro page for what's included.

• You can cancel any time from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for.
• We do not prorate a partial month.
• We can end a subscription with notice if it's being used unlawfully or abusively.
• Refunds are handled case by case: email [email protected].

Network Configurator and NetOps Widgets: license terms

It runs on your machine, against your network, with your credentials. CiscoTools.dev never touches a device, never sees a credential, and never proxies a connection: we serve the file, the docs, and a license check. Lite needs no key and no account. Pro unlocks with your CiscoTools API key, on the devices you install it on, for as long as your Pro subscription is active; see the Network Configurator and NetOps Widgets pages for exactly how the license check and its 30-day offline grace period work. You may not redistribute a modified copy as your own product, resell access to it, or reverse-engineer the license-verification code to bypass the Pro check; you are welcome to read the source, since both apps ship as a single, readable Python file.

The chat widget uses AI

The chat bubble on this site is an AI assistant (Claude, by Anthropic), not a human. It can misunderstand a question or answer incorrectly, and like every tool on this site its output should be checked before you rely on it for a real network change.

Acceptable use

Do not use the free tools' API endpoints, the Pro API, or the license-check endpoint to scan for vulnerabilities, to abuse or flood the service, or to extract data you have no right to. Automated traffic that looks like abuse may be rate-limited or blocked without notice. Do not use this site to process configuration data you do not have the right to handle.

Intellectual property

The site's content, design, and branding belong to Brody Networks LLC. The configuration text, templates, and files you submit to a tool remain yours; processing them through a tool does not give us ownership of them.

No warranties, and a cap on liability

This site and its tools are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that a tool will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any specific network.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Brody Networks LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including a network outage or misconfiguration, arising out of this site or its tools. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose (which is zero for every free tool). Some states do not allow some of these limits, and where that is the case they do not apply to you.

Privacy

How we handle personal information is covered by our privacy policy, which is part of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wake County, North Carolina, and both sides consent to those courts.

Changes

We may update these terms, and the effective date above always reflects the current version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
